Rachel Ashwell is one of the biggest names in shabby chic style (in the US, at any rate). Her website is full of inspiring pictures and covetable items, like this white Austin Cabinet, and she writes a blog, too.
Rachel founded her first shop in 1989, aptly called 'Shabby Chic', and now has a number of branches across the US. Her thoughts on decorating are that "a home can be truly lived in and still be lovely."
