Yes, I know it's the sixth of January today - what of it? There's still time to make some resolutions... I am planning to finish all of my current craft projects (ribbon cushion, anyone?) before starting anything new. Absolutely. For definite. How about you?
Also, if you've yet to embrace the make-to-and-mend shabby chic ethos, 2009 looks like a great year to do so. For starters, Kirstie Allsopp (of Location Location Location fame) has her own crafting series starting on Channel 4 early this year.
Titled Kirstie's Homemade Home, the programe will feature the "best of handmade inventiveness, design and craft". Kirstie will advise on visiting auction houes, reclaiming and restoring pieces of furniture, as well as meeting great British artisans.
