Just as I hoped, Kathy Cano-Murillo's book is a treasure trove of quirky ideas and arty-projects - all of which are simple enough for a beginner to tackle.
Kathy's enthusiasm positively leaps off the page, and I dare anyone to resist her upbeat 'anyone can do this' attitude.
There are thirty projects in the book; from bags and clothes to off-beat
pieces like Kathy's lovely fabric postcards. Plus, I know I will be turning to the bright, funky
pictures time and time again for
inspiration.

Don’t let yourself be put off by the excruciating puns (I love them, by the way) – this is an excellent tutorial in the art and craft of crochet.
I first taught myself to crochet way back in the early 1970s using a step-by-step series in Woman’s Own magazine. I made a carrying-shawl and a cot blanket for my imminent first-born and a few things out of 'granny-squares' (hey, I did say it was the seventies) and then other stuff intervened to keep my hands busy. So I came to this book as near to a novice as makes no difference.
